Here’s what the area around Koshien Stadium looks like today, 9/14!
(Huge thanks to Matsushii-san and Nishitsu supporters Fucchi & Sasako for going all out with the photos and info!)
We may keep updating this as things come in〜

This is the plaza in front of Koshien Station at 1 p.m. As expected, there still weren’t too many Hanshin fans yet.

This was around 4:40 p.m. The crowd really started growing all at once〜.

There are tents set up in front of Corowa Koshien. Maybe for security? Or perhaps they’re preparing for tomorrow’s Corowa Koshien renewal event.

This is sometime after 5 p.m. More and more people are arriving〜

Looking from the station toward Koshien Stadium. Apparently it’s surprisingly quiet. Since today’s tickets are premium tickets, it feels like the especially fired-up fans are heading into the stadium.

There are also shops set up, and people are gathering around〜.

Cones have been placed in front of the Tigers Team Shop Alps so people can line up.

Looks like Lawson will be selling a five-paper set of sports newspapers. It definitely makes for a souvenir! There are all kinds of fun details, like “Are” printed over the word “championship.”

That said, they’ve posted a notice saying they may close early during the game. Things could get pretty intense〜. Seems like a sensible call.

Corowa Koshien also has a notice saying it will close at 8 p.m.

Maybe this is a TV-related helicopter. There’s only one at this time, but there may be more later.

Under the Route 43 overpass.

In front of the stadium. Some people were taking commemorative photos, too. Looks like today is going to be a special day. I’m jealous〜

This is what it looks like around the outside.

And then, as the big moment got closer…

The fact that this many people are around at this hour really shows what a special day it is.

Especially in a season where everyone has been more conscious of “Are” than ever before.

While the inside of the stadium was wrapped in unified cheering…

This many people were gathered under Route 43, believing in a Hanshin victory.

YouTubers were there too.

The Chinese restaurant Banri near the stadium was packed with customers too.
Everyone was standing and cheering. It was getting incredibly lively inside, almost like a public viewing!!

I’m sure everyone inside the stadium and everyone outside felt the same way.
Scenes just before “Are”↓
It was really exciting even outside the stadium〜.
Right after the championship↓
Looks like so much fun〜.
And then, in front of Koshien Stadium after “Are” happened.

People surged toward Koshien Station.

They were restricting entry into the station.

What a great memory to have made.
Today’s photos from around Koshien during “Are” were taken by Matsushii-san and Nishitsu supporters Fucchi & Sasako! Thank you!
And to everyone across Japan:

Koshien is in Nishinomiya City, Hyogo Prefecture.
※Matsushii-san and Nishitsu supporters Fucchi & Sasako, thank you for the photos and information!!
