The “Bagels” Sold at “HIPPO BAGEL”
They had so many different kinds for sale.

A super simple plain bagel made without butter or eggs. Chocolate cashew nut. And beni-imo, which is especially delicious this time of year!

Cinnamon and bagels seem like they’d go so well together. It’s nice and reassuring that the ingredients are clearly listed.

The sausage, salted kelp, cheesecake, and more are additive-free. They also use cane sugar instead of refined white sugar, which is nice because, being less refined, it contains minerals like potassium and calcium! Usapi, you tried the sausage one, right?

Yes! Pieces of sliced sausage were tucked all throughout it, so I didn’t end up with that common bread problem of “Oh no, the sausage slipped out!” 💦 I enjoyed it right to the end!

What was the mustard’s spiciness like?

I thought it might have a bit of a kick, but it had a gentle flavor, so I think even people who don’t like spicy food could enjoy it. I was also happy that the sausage is uncured and the mustard is additive-free!

The cheesecake bagel had homemade cheesecake rolled inside, and it was topped with an adorable little mini cake as decoration!

The bag is cute too. On opening day, the bag fee was waived, right?

Bacon and lotus root!! I’m curious about the savory bagels. I also want to know what the texture is like with pizza and bagels combined.

Aonori cheese sounds good.

They also had coffee-flavored and chocolate-flavored ones.

These are burger-style bagels. I’m sure they’re particular about their homemade sauce too.

The sugar butter is one I’d want to try as a simple upgraded menu item!

Yes, I ate it! It had a lattice of cuts on top, and the butter soaked right into them, all rich and juicy ❤️ It had a flavor you don’t find in the other bagels.
