On this day, they couldn’t do “extra fat” because of ingredient availability (´・ω・｀)
So they were out! With lines like that, I guess it happens.
The noodles are extra thick, and rather than slurping them, it’s more like gnawing? chomping? You eat them like you’re devouring them, lol

The chashu is thick, with a great balance of lean meat and fat. It’s really satisfying and filling.
You don’t often see it this thick!!!
The vegetables feel like a warm-up before your stomach gets hit with a big load of fat, garlic, and salt, almost like pre-game stretches. They ease you in. They’re seasoned properly too, so you could probably eat rice with just the vegetables.
So that’s the role the vegetables play!
Of course, there’s fat on top of the vegetables too, lol. I think the appeal is eating those chewy, extra-thick noodles with full-on junky vibes.

This is the “Regular Pork Ramen (300g noodles) with back fat, garlic, vegetables, and extra fat” I had last time. Compared with the standard ramen I had this time, it had a much stronger “rich and heavy” feel.

I wouldn’t call myself a “Jirorian,” but when I think of fat-slicked Jiro-style ramen, that salty soy sauce punch, biting into big chunks of chashu pork, and the smell of garlic all come together to create this guilty pleasure. And because it has so much volume, there’s a sense of satisfaction and even accomplishment. Kore Suki is probably an inspired-style shop, but I thought maybe it’s popular because it stays close to the classic style.
