On Saturday, November 18 and Sunday, November 19, the “10th Koshienguchi Bar & Marche” is being held around JR Koshienguchi Station, so Shachomi @ Nishi2 went to check it out and report back on what it was like.
It’s also happening on Sunday the 19th, so hopefully this will be helpful if you’re planning to go.
This is the south side of Koshienguchi Station. I feel like the bus stop in front of Koshienguchi Station is always packed with people.
There were lots of people standing in front of participating bar-event shops, wondering whether to go in.
Nouvelle Koshienguchi was lively too, with people steadily streaming farther inside.
Okonomiyaki “Tenteko” is also one of the participating shops.

Wait, even if you factor in that it’s a little smaller than usual, isn’t less than half price a bit too generous?!
At this point, you just have to go in. I want okonomiyaki!! Look at all those eggs in the back lol
The owner said they were baking an incredible 500 of them today, so they were insanely busy. “To be honest, when you think about the cost, it’s just barely workable, but this is Koshienguchi’s festival, so we’ll do our best,” they said.
Even so, this is the slightly smaller-size okonomiyaki. They’ll be doing it tomorrow, the 18th, too. If you’re going at lunchtime, be ready to line up.
Speaking of lines, “Sanematsu,” the sushi shop that always gets huge queues during the bar event.
This is Sanematsu’s super-classic signature item. Have you ever seen such a beautiful egg? You can buy this anytime, but if you’ve never tried it, this is the time.
“Fukusa Sushi” 500 yen
Huh? What’s inside this?! It has oysters in it.
“Oyster Salad Roll” 500 yen
This sushi really shows off the texture of the shrimp! It’s usually only sold at department stores, but you can pick it up casually at the bar event.
“Special Shrimp Bo Sushi”500 yen
They’re 500 yen each, so even if you buy three, it’s only 1,500 yen! Honestly, you’ll miss out if you don’t go while you can.
I wonder what Toriyoshi has on offer.
Aaaah. It’s sold out. Even so, customers kept coming in one after another lol
Whoa!! “Niku to Yasai ga Oishii Mise” was absolutely packed with customers～～～～～!!! Why～～?
Turns out that for November 18 only, everything was 10% off.
In front of this shop, we ran into a reader who said, “The hot dog was delicious!”
So we went↓
“RED MAN” on Suzuran-dori.
Here, you can get a hot dog and that drink for just 500 yen!!!
Now that’s a choice you can’t go wrong with～～～～～～～～!!
The best part of a bar event is getting to visit all kinds of places for cheap～～.
Another reader came up to talk to us too. They were in great spirits. “Koshienguchi Bar is the best!” they said.
Then the owner of “RED MAN,” where we had the hot dog, told us about a shop that was apparently really bustling, so we headed over.
It’s everyone’s favorite neighborhood Chinese restaurant, “Koshien Hanten.”
Tenshinhan plus a soft drink for 500 yen!! If you’re just having a quick drink, the pan-fried xiaolongbao and alcohol combo sounds great too～～!
As the night got later, you know where we had to go.
We came to Bar Yamatani～～～!!!
Shachomi @ Nishi2 finally made her bar debut.
They even have “Suntory Hibiki 30 Years,” which costs several hundred thousand yen and is produced in only a few thousand bottles a year!!!

Wait! The drink was way too good!! Even after eating our way through the bar event, the sandwich was small enough to enjoy in one easy bite. It was really crisp, with such a nice harmony of shiso and ham～～～～. There were bar-event menus for 6 types of alcohol in total.
Let Bar Yamatani be the place that takes your first bar experience. It was excellent～～
