Sasako & Toki no Tabibito, Nishitsu supporters, went to the “1st Oroichi Marche” at the Nishinomiya Wholesale Market near JR Nishinomiya Station.

Just before it started. This was around 10 a.m. Everyone was getting ready.

The Oroichi Marche is underway. So many people showed up. There was a huge line at Izumiya!

The menu had fragrant dashi oden and carefully made fried chicken. Both were 500 yen, so pretty easy to pick up.

Oh, so this is it! A gachapon for 500 yen per try. Apparently you’re guaranteed to win an item worth at least 500 yen.

So it looks like Oroichi Marche will be held every month at the Central Wholesale Market, which has a large roof.
By the way, there are apparently no restrooms inside the venue. There was bicycle parking, though.

This is the venue map for the event. The shops are lined up neatly.

The entrance is from Route 2.

There were lots of food and drink booths. The sweets were popular too.

They even had yakisoba.

There seemed to be table seating too,

and lots of handmade items as well. They were selling cut flowers too.

All-you-can-stuff sweet potatoes. Looks fun.

It was getting pretty intense. The S-size bag was 500 yen, and the L-size bag was 1,000 yen.I love these kinds of challenge-style things.

Microwave-ready baked sweet potatoes, small sweet potatoes, and more. It really had that Oroichi feel.
This was popular with kids↓

A Hawaiian aroma workshop. 500 yen per session.

① Choose a bottle ② Add sand ③ Pick 5 seashells ④ Layer in jelly in your favorite colors ⑤ Add your preferred scented aroma oil, and it’s done

A Miyatan mascot and a set of 10 100th-anniversary drip coffees was 3,000 yen. A set of 7 drip coffees was 1,000 yen.

Vegetables from Funasaka seemed popular too. There were canelés, craft beer, and more.

You do start to get a little hungry. Which crepe should I get?

Look very closely! There’s a cat.

There’s another line forming.

It’s a kitchen truck serving Taiwanese food. Makes sense, everyone’s hungry.

Taiwanese rice balls?! So this is it!! The line was for this, maybe. Don’t quote me on that lol
Finally
For those who went to the first Oroichi Marche, how was it? If this caught your interest, it looks like the 2nd and 3rd editions will be held monthly, so go check it out.
