Netorabo Research Team’s ranking of famous unaju restaurants in Hyogo Prefecture has Koshien’s “鰻 はな”atNo. 1.

This ranking appears to have been created as of June 5, 2024, based on things like “user ratings,” “number of reviews,” “price range,” and “rating filters” posted on Google Maps.

“鰻 はな” is
hugely popular for serving authentic eel dishes at reasonable prices. There are especially many reviews saying the premium unaju is very generous in portion size.

The address is 9-25 Koshien Nanabancho, Nishinomiya City, Hyogo Prefecture.
Nishitsu Gourmet ↓

“Unaju Tokujo” ¥3,240(tax included)
Gulp.

There are four overlapping pieces of eel inside the lacquered box. Since it’s steamed and then grilled with sauce, apparently the texture and flavor bring to mind a favorite eel restaurant they’ve eaten at before. Of course, it’s fluffy inside and nicely firm on the outside.
No. 6 is “きた八”

Finally
Three restaurants in Nishinomiya made it into the top 10 in the prefecture’s ranking of famous unaju spots! There was actually the same ranking a year ago too, and at that time Koshien’s “鰻 はな” had just opened and didn’t make the list, but it has shot up all at once. More eel restaurants have been opening in the city, so if you haven’t had eel lately, give one a try!
