I went to the “3rd Autumn Gourmet Festival” held at Abiki Park in Koshien on November 3!
So many people came out, and the place was really lively.
I’d like to show you what it was like, along with some photos.
As you can see, the venue was packed with people.
There were even lines forming at the booths of the participating shops.

There were quite a few shops that we’ve introduced on Nishitsu before.
Since I was there, I decided to grab something to eat too.
The hot dogs at this shop looked delicious, so I decided to try one.
Here it is.
It had a nice balance of sweetness and tanginess, and it was delicious.
And “Pizzeria da Torachici,” which we previously introduced on Nishitsu, had actually brought in a pizza oven and was baking pizzas right there.
Wow, that’s impressive.
I wanted to try one too, but the line was so long that I gave up…
There was also a “Play Corner” run by students from Imazu High School, and it was bustling with lots of children.
As one of the special features of this event, each shop came up with and served its own original curry.
It was a fun project where you could enjoy unique curries created by shops that aren’t usually curry specialty restaurants.
Since I was there, I decided to eat something…
There was a place selling rice only, so first I bought some rice.
I decided to try this curry.
It was keema curry.
I poured it over the rice I had just bought.
Here it is.
It wasn’t too spicy, and it was a delicious curry packed with rich meaty flavor.
I hope they do this project again next year.
Meanwhile, on the stage, singer-songwriter Reiko Umehara from Imazu was performing live.
She said she was nervous because she was performing in front of acquaintances and teachers…
But it was a fun live performance with wonderful music and singing.
You could really feel her love for her hometown.
Nishitsu will continue to support her!
