Nishinomiya Style told us that a Nishinomiya City booth, the sacred place of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, has appeared at the “Cool Japan Showcase / Anime & Manga Tourism Festival” at the Osaka Expo～～～.

Nishinomiya City has a booth at the “Cool Japan Showcase / Anime & Manga Tourism Festival”, currently being held at EXPO Messe “WASSE”, outside the Grand Ring at the Expo site. It runs from Wednesday, April 30 to Friday, May 2, 11:00〜17:00. Since no reservation is needed, it’s nice that you can just drop by.
The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya is an anime set in Nishinomiya. Kitakoh is the model school. It has now been renamed Hyogo Prefectural Kurakuen High School
They collaborated with Hanshin Electric Railway too, didn’t they〜

Apparently, a super huge Haruhi-zaka tapestry made by Nishinomiya Style was planned to appear, but due to various circumstances it won’t be shown… That’s a shock
On the first day, there were even hardcore fans making a day trip expedition from Tokyo, apparently.
Every Day at 16:00: Anisong Bon Odori
There will be 27 booths surrounding the yagura stage, plus performances, anisong DJs, and VTuber stages too.

Finally
It makes us happy that Nishinomiya, celebrating its 100th anniversary as a municipality, is promoting Haruhi at the Expo! It’s a 3-day limited event until Friday, 5/2〜. Personally, I’m curious about things like Emilia from Re:Zero appearing as a mascot costume, and on the final day, 5/2, cosplayer Enako-san will apparently be coming. I hope she appears in Haruhi cosplay like before〜.
