Searching for Nishinomiya specialties… I bought “Koshien Sablé” and “Baked Donuts” from Bern (^^♪
This is Bern, the shop featured the other day in an article by Daa on Nishitsu: Members of “Cake House Tsumagari,” “Elberun,” and “Patisserie Bern” won awards at the Hyogo Confectionery Association’s “61st Christmas Cake Contest”!

Bern has four shops in Nishinomiya, with the main shop in Koshien, but this time I bought these at the Kotoen shop (^^)

“Koshien Sablé” and “Baked Donuts”
The “Koshien Sablé” was a sweet with a crisp texture that’s different from a cookie (^^)
This season, they’re also included in Christmas gift sets🎅🎀
The package is an illustrated map where you can immediately recognize Nishinomiya landmarks, making it feel perfect as a Nishinomiya souvenir! 🙂
The “Baked Donuts” look like this ↓ The five-piece set only comes with plain and cinnamon, but I spotted flavors I hadn’t seen before, Annou sweet potato and rum raisin, so I got them!!
Since the donuts are baked, they have that healthy image where you feel like you could eat several of them, right? !(^^)! And every flavor is delicious! (Shacho isn’t great with sweets, but he enjoyed the plain one. The Annou sweet potato has plenty of sweet potato inside, with a rich sweet potato flavor (^^) The rum raisin is packed with raisins and has a grown-up taste. Rum raisin fans will love it.)
