Of course, the best thing is for disasters not to happen, but it’s important to know this kind of information just in case.
What kind of agreement is it?
Amashin’s grounds will become an evacuation site during disasters
When a disaster occurs, “Amagasaki Shinkin Bank Najio General Ground” will be made available as an evacuation site for Nishinomiya residents.
Here it is on the map↓
The address is 10-1 Najio Miyama, Nishinomiya City, Hyogo Prefecture.
You can evacuate with your pets
The main highlight this time is that evacuating with pets is OK🐶😺. That’s great news❤
Since it’s a ground, dogs and cats may also feel less stressed during evacuation.
Separate tents help protect privacy
Actually, this time they have also signed an agreement with the outdoor brand LOGOS. Tents will be set up on the ground, allowing each family to evacuate separately.
On top of having solid privacy measures, LOGOS is a well-regarded maker of camping gear, so there will probably be plenty of thoughtful touches to help people stay comfortable~.
本日、尼崎信用金庫さんと、アウトドア用品ロゴスさんと連携協定を締結しました。役所だけでは提供できにくい、ペット同伴やプライバシーに配慮した避難所ができることになります。感謝です!

Are there other pet-friendly evacuation shelters?
Actually, as of 2024, out of the 139 designated evacuation sites in Nishinomiya City, 123 allow people to evacuate together with their pets. In the past, you used to hear people say, “I can’t go to an evacuation shelter because I have a pet,” but times are changing.

Finally
Pets are important members of the family, so of course you’d want to stay together even during a disaster. This should be especially welcome news for people in the Najio area who have large dogs and other pets. Let’s hope we see more moves like this going forward!
