Shukugawa’s Oda Dental Has Become a Kid-Friendly State-of-the-Art Clinic With Traces of Baskin-Robbins Still Around [Show Us Your Clinic!]

We visited the preview event for “Oda Dental Clinic,” which opened in the former Baskin-Robbins spot in Shukugawa〜.

The place where Baskin-Robbins used to be.

It now has a natural exterior! Inside, it has turned into a super futuristic and fun dental clinic. Let’s get started! The preview event was held on Saturday, November 29

This is Oda Dental Clinic’s director, Dr. Yasushi Oda, and his son, Dr. Taiga Oda. Believe it or not, they’re father-and-son dentists. Or are they a comedy duo?! Their presence was so strong it caught us off guard. Anyway, the director told us which crepe he recommends.

It was a colorful, fruit-packed crepe with everything in it called the “Orchestra.” So, let’s head inside the clinic〜

From the entrance, the inside makes you go, what is going on〜? The round area where Shachomi is reflected is an interior window〜〜. Like Little My from Moomin

When we walked in saying, “Excuse us〜!”, the receptionist’s smile was almost too dazzling.

Still, the entrance is superrr colorful! I always had this image of dental clinics being mostly white, but when it’s this colorful, it feels like you’ve come somewhere to play.

It’s a secret-base-like kids’ space where you can say, “So your name is Totoro〜! (Mei’s line)”

Apparently, this is a product by teamLab, which has been hugely active at various pavilions during the Osaka-Kansai Expo.

Kids can play just by drawing a line with their finger, going swoooosh. It’s an amazing high-tech monitor that turns waiting time into game time.

“Try pressing there!” “Whoa, it fell!” Apparently, it’s designed so even nervous kids can get excited before their appointment.

Ah〜, Ebessan’s lucky bamboo grass is here too! The mirror has the kind of gorgeous look you’d expect to see in Thermae Romae. This chaotic vibe reminds us of the place before it moved, lol

It’s spacious and has a fun atmosphere.

So many Ghibli characters! It feels like a child’s room.
