I rode Hankyu’s new “2000 series” train, which debuted on December 6, 2025~.
宝塚線で運行しております「安心と快適、そして環境に配慮した新しい阪急スタイル」をコンセプトとして開発した新型車両2000系につきまして、2025年12月6日(土)から神戸線でも運行を開始する予定です。

What’s it like inside?
Around the Seats

The seats are Hankyu’s traditional golden olive color. The ends have changed~.
This is what the stroller and wheelchair space looks like. The emergency button has moved, too.
This is the first time in Hankyu’s history that wheelchair securing equipment has been installed. That’s major change No. 1!
The 2000 series is also the first to come with built-in security cameras as standard~. On the 1000 series and earlier, they’re externally mounted.
Around the Driver’s Cab
The seat next to the driver’s cab is gone, and the door to the cab has moved to the right side. That’s major change No. 2!
Here’s the driver’s console. Everything, including the instruments, is now digital. The staff timetable is farther away now.
The “conductor switch” used to open and close the doors remains the same on the 2000 series. It’s a direct-control type that has to be switched when turning back.
Around the Exterior
Since the seat behind the driver’s cab is gone, the window has disappeared too~.
The destination sign is the same as on the 1000 series. But on the 2000 series, just like JR and Hanshin trains, it now turns off while the train is running, another first in Hankyu’s history.
The window glass used throughout the train is AGC, the brand you may know from TV commercials~.
Other Changes
The Automated Announcements Are Now Truly “Automatic”
阪急神戸線、自動放送を一部列車で導入。
自動放送の音量や放送内容の出力は車掌の手動操作、異常時案内・先着案内などは肉声放送となる模様である。

You’re probably thinking, “Wait, what does that mean?”~ Actually, Hankyu’s automated announcements used to be operated by the conductor using a touchscreen, but starting with the 2000 series, announcements now play automatically based on distance and wheel rotation count~.That’s why announcements now play even while the conductor is monitoring departure.
Train Numbers Changed from “Even” to “Odd”
Until now, new trains were introduced in the order of Kobe Line → Takarazuka Line → Kobe Line, so there had long been an era where the top-numbered train—the very first debut train—entered service on the Kobe Line. However, the top-numbered 2000 series train, C#2000F, entered service on the Takarazuka Line, while the second set, C#2001F, entered the Kobe Line, creating a reversal of the usual pattern.
新型2000系、乗ってことありますか〜
Finally
Did you notice this first new train model in 12 years? Hankyu trains may all be the same color, but they’re completely different depending on the series~. Next time you ride one, try checking which series it is~.
