Fujimoto Kawa Sakana-ten, a shop that has been in business for over 50 years in the shopping arcade near Hanshin Nishinomiya, will apparently be closing at the end of the year.

The shop is located inside the shopping arcade.

If you go straight, you’ll come out in front of Hanshin Nishinomiya Station.
Products at “Fujimoto Kawa Sakana-ten”
They sell a wide variety of seafood, but the shop was especially known for whale meat and eel.
Since I was there, I bought this “Anago Yawata-maki” to take home.
It’s made by wrapping conger eel around burdock root and grilling it.
The conger eel and burdock root go really well together, and it’s very tasty.
The special sauce is excellent too.
It’s a little sad that the shop is closing, but it will apparently remain open until the end of the year, so why not stop by one last time?
