Two restaurants in the food court at “Aeon Nishinomiya Mondo” in Hayashida-cho along the Nakatsuhama Line have closed.
(Information provided by Center-san)
The sign says “event period ended,” but since these were tenant shops, they have effectively closed.
The inside was empty and dark.
Here it is on the map↓
The address is 2-24 Hayashida-cho, Nishinomiya.
It’s next to Nishinomiya Municipal Central Hospital, about a 7-minute walk from Mondo-Yakujin Station.
What’s Around “Jollof Kitchen” and “Banh Mi Iine”
This is what the area looked like overall. The shops were on the left side of the food court on the basement 1st floor.
Next door are Mister Donut and the Indian restaurant “Tabla.”
In Closing
Both of these shops had been featured in gourmet articles on Nishitsu, and “Jollof Kitchen” in particular was run by Bintou Jallow, the Consul General of The Gambia. With the Nishinomiya location gone, Gambian cuisine may become a rare dish that can only be eaten in Nagoya. It’s a shame to see them close, especially since this was a food court where you could find dishes from around the world.
※Thank you, Center-san, for the information!!
