“Co-op Mini Otani” in Otani-cho appears to be facing tough business conditions once again.
(Information provided by Wanko-san)

It seems this postcard has been sent to co-op members who used the store in the latter half of last year.
The store’s sales (supply volume) have dropped significantly, and its losses have reportedly been growing in recent years. At this rate, continuing operations will be difficult. As a rough target, it looks like usage needs to increase to about 1.1 times the current level.

Co-op Mini Otani had previously been listed as a “candidate store for closure” in 2023, but it avoided closure at that time.
Here it is on the map↓
The address is 6-4 Otani-cho, Nishinomiya, Hyogo Prefecture.

Currently in Nishinomiya, “Co-op Nishinomiya Minami” in Higashimachi along the Rinko Line has also been listed as a candidate store for closure, and both are in areas with intense competition among supermarkets.
In Closing
Co-op Mini Otani reportedly needs usage to rise to about 1.1 times the current level, so it does not seem like anything will happen immediately. Still, this is the second time the store has faced difficult conditions. We’ll be keeping an eye on what happens next. If you live nearby or use the store, this is something you may want to check on.
※Wanko-san, thank you very much for the information!!
