What’s around “Hama Sushi,” “Sukiya,” and “Olive Hill” in Higashimachi

Across the street is the Coop Kobe Cooperative Purchase Center.

If you go this way, you’ll find Coop Nishinomiya Minami, 7-Eleven, Sun Drug, Yoshinoya, Hakushika Classics, and more.

Heading in the opposite direction, there’s Kansai Super, Yamada Denki, Soyora, Kura Sushi, and more.

At the site now, there are lots of different cars parked there. Maybe it’s being rented out to something like a car dealer? 🤔
What is “Olive Hill”?
Quoted from Italian Restaurant Olive Hill [Official Website]
“Olive Hill” is a place where you can mainly enjoy pasta and pizza. It’s a reasonably priced Italian-style family restaurant chain mostly found in the Kanto area, and in recent years it seems to have been expanding into Kansai(including a Kansai International Airport location) as well.
The impression is that it’s just a little pricier than Saizeriya, but offers a wider menu than Jolly Pasta 🍝
It’s operated by major restaurant company Zensho Group. The “Sukiya” and “Hama Sushi” opening on the same site this time are also Zensho Group restaurants.

Final thoughts

It’s been more than three years since EDION moved into LaLaport Koshien. It took a little while for the next tenants to be decided, but it’s surprising that three popular restaurants are coming in all at once. Among them, Olive Hill has only two locations in Kansai. It’s exciting to see a restaurant like that coming to Nishinomiya.

There are already places like Kura Sushi and Kaiten Sushi Rikimaru nearby, so with Hama Sushi opening too, this area could quietly become a fierce battleground for conveyor-belt sushi.

Along the same Rinko Line, Kani Doraku is also set to open this autumn, so Rinko Line is definitely heating up.
