Now, it’s finally time for the activities to begin. To start, I’ll basically be working on the following two things at the same time.
1. Expanding the image of the song I want to create
2. Learning about my own voice and training so I can sing the song

Making a Song!
Music Planet has managers, and I’ll be moving forward with these two things while communicating back and forth with my manager.
I mentioned this last time too, but this audition is neither a record company nor a production agency, and it’s not a vocational school or music school either.
It’s not like everything is prepared for you, nor do they teach you everything step by step from scratch.
Naturally, I’ll be the one taking the lead in the activities, but in my case, I honestly hadn’t thought that deeply about it…
Can I really create a song myself…?
Expanding the Image by Answering Questions
First, to help build up the image of the song, the manager sends me several questions.
“Favorite artists,” “preferred genre,” “songs you’re good at singing at karaoke,” “existing songs close to the kind of song you want to sing,” “the style of song you want to sing,” “activity history”…
By answering a large number of questions like these, you gradually expand the image inside your mind.
But when I sit down and think about it carefully, it’s actually pretty hard to answer.
The songs I like and the songs I’m good at are different…
As I struggle through my answers, even more detailed questions come in.
“Specifically, what parts of your favorite songs do you like?” “What theme do you want to convey through the song?” “Why did you choose that theme?” “A specific episode related to that theme”…
When I think that far, I start getting anxious, wondering, “Is this really the right theme…?”
Making a song is tough…
Still, as I think through my answers to the questions, the image slowly starts to take shape.
Songwriting Is a Process of Looking Back on Your Life
In the end, it means going back and reviewing your life from the very beginning, so it takes quite a bit of effort.
But without an opportunity like this, I probably wouldn’t take the time to reflect deeply on my life, so in that sense, it’s a good experience.
I pull out all kinds of experiences and episodes from within myself, then carefully think about who I want to say what to.
That process is steadily moving forward right now, but what kind of song will it turn into?
I’m looking forward to finding out myself!
Now, alongside this work, I’ll also be taking voice training to objectively understand my own voice.
