A new motsunabe (offal hot pot) restaurant called “まんだら家（まんだらけ）” has opened along Ebessan-suji, near Hanshin Nishinomiya Station.

It’s located at the intersection of Ebessan-suji and the Naruo-Mikage Line. This used to be a yakiniku restaurant called Sumibi Yakiniku “牛や.”
This is the entrance to the restaurant.
It looks like a motsunabe restaurant with several locations around Kansai, including Amagasaki.
It opened on February 10.

The road in front is the Naruo-Mikage Line.

If you go straight, you’ll reach Nishinomiya Chuo Shopping Street.

Ebessan-suji is right in front, and Nishinomiya Shrine is just across the road.
Motsunabe “まんだら家” Food
Since it was the opening day, I stopped by and had some hot pot.
This is the “Motsunabe” (900 yen). The photo shows one serving.
Hot pot tends to have an image of being something you eat with a group, but this place feels like the kind of hot pot restaurant you can comfortably visit on your own.
For the record, I went by myself.

Once it looks like this, it’s ready to eat.
For the motsunabe soup, you can choose either miso or soy sauce. They said the soy sauce flavor was recommended, so I went with that.
As you can probably tell from the photo, the soy sauce flavor isn’t especially strong. It’s more of a light soup, with ingredients like bean sprouts, cabbage, garlic chives, and motsu. It was a clean, easy-to-eat motsunabe that brought out the flavor of the ingredients.
I also had the “Chicken Mayo Rice Bowl (Small)” (400 yen).
It’s a small size, but it’s still quite filling.
With grilled chicken, mayonnaise, and green onions, there’s no way it wouldn’t be good.
This is apparently another recommended menu item.
