As we mentioned in a recent article, a stamp rally is being held in the Kurakuen area.
So we figured Nishitsu should collect some stamps too and get an original bag!
With that in mind, we’re going to visit some of the shops listed in the Kurakuen Passport.
This time, we went to the Vietnamese restaurant “GOLDEN SAIGON（ゴールデンサイゴン）”.

Food at “GOLDEN SAIGON（ゴールデンサイゴン）”
We ordered “pho” (500 yen), a classic noodle dish in Vietnam.
It’s a dish made with rice flour noodles in beef bone broth.
The soup was light and had a slight tanginess.
Apparently, the beef bone soup contains fish sauce called nuoc mam (also written as nuoc mam/nyok mam in Japanese).
The noodles are flat, similar in shape to kishimen, but since they’re made from rice flour, they have a softer texture.
The toppings included chashu pork, Vietnamese ham, cucumber, and cilantro.
It’s not something we usually eat, but it felt healthy, was easy to enjoy, and was very tasty.
After the meal, we had “Vietnamese coffee” (400 yen).
Vietnamese coffee is known for having condensed milk at the bottom of the cup, and you mix it in as you like before drinking.
It was smooth, easy to drink, and delicious.
And we got this stamp.
We had already received a stamp from “RAT★RACE”, so this makes our second stamp!

This shop also serves as an antenna shop for the “Specified Nonprofit Corporation Japan-Vietnam Friendship Association,” and in addition to Vietnamese food, they also sell Vietnamese groceries and miscellaneous goods.
