For the third stamp in the “Kurakuen Passport,” I went to “ぢどり亭 苦楽園店,” located just a short walk from Kurakuen-guchi Station.
It’s a major izakaya chain, but this spot serves Kyushu Satsuma-style “charcoal-grilled bara-yaki.” In Nishinomiya, there are two locations: “Nishinomiya-Kitaguchi” and “Kurakuen.”
Since I had the chance, I decided to combine the “Kurakuen Passport project” with the “3,000-yen izakaya project” this time.

Challenge Start!
First up is the “otoshi” appetizer (300 yen).
I’m going with draft beer again this time.
This is a “nama-chu” medium draft beer (380 yen).
The beer is Asahi Super Dry.
The “otoshi” had a fairly rich seasoning, so that alone had me drinking quite a bit of beer.
Of course, I had to try the shop’s specialty, “bara-yaki.”
This is the “charcoal-grilled mature chicken thigh, small” (580 yen).
Since it’s mature chicken, the meat is on the firm side, but the more you chew, the more the chicken’s savory flavor comes out.
Second drink.
I heard the Kurakuen location also has original dishes, so I ordered the “Japanese-style nanban fried chicken half-size” (460 yen).
It’s kind of like “chicken cutlet with grated daikon,” but the sauce tastes like the sweet vinegar used for chicken nanban.
This also goes well with drinks.
So here’s my third beer.
I think it’s about time to order something to finish things off.
This is the “chicken soup” (180 yen).
It’s a familiar kind of chicken soup, but the sesame and sesame oil really come through, making it very aromatic.
Now, I think it’s time to pay the bill.
