“きづいち,” located on the 1st floor of ACTA Nishinomiya West Building, is the kind of place that serves set meals at lunchtime and works as an izakaya at night.
For a shop inside ACTA, it’s unusual in that it has tatami seating, and its storefront feels more like something you’d find in a shopping street or tucked away in a back alley. It’s a popular spot that always seems to have plenty of customers whenever you go.
This time, we visited during lunch and had one of their daytime set meals.

Ajidokoro “きづいち” Food
This time, I ordered the “Hire Katsu Set Meal” (1,050 yen).
The lunch set meals come with a main dish, two small side dishes, rice, miso soup, and pickles.
The two side dishes this time were simmered dishes: one in the style of chikuzen-ni, and another made with bean sprouts and fried tofu.
They may look like simple everyday dishes, but the seasoning was very well balanced. The bean sprout dish also had a nice sesame oil aroma and was very tasty.
You can get up to two bowls of rice refilled.
The main hire katsu was freshly fried, with a crispy coating and juicy inside: exactly how it should be.
Pork fillet is low in fat and can dry out easily, but this really showed professional skill.
I had it with the tonkatsu sauce on the table, and the sauce brought out the sweetness of the pork, making it very delicious.
