As you know, various events around the city have been canceled to help prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus.
Amid all this, Kwansei Gakuin University, whose graduation ceremony was canceled, has launched a special website for its graduates.
Here it is↓
The site was apparently created in the hope that it would become at least a small memory for the members of the 2019 graduating class, whose graduation ceremony had to be canceled.
Here is a message from the faculty and staff to the graduates↓
At Kwansei Gakuin University, we have decided to cancel the 2019 fall semester graduation ceremony due to the impact of the spread of the novel coronavirus.
We have created this special page in the hope that today can still become a day of good memories, even in a small way.
It is a modest gesture, but we would be delighted if it helps celebrate the start of your new journey.
All of our faculty and staff extend our heartfelt congratulations.
On the special website, in addition to messages from the president and deans, video messages have also been posted from Kwansei Gakuin alumni active in various fields.
The video messages included eight alumni active in various fields, such as Kyuso Nekokami, Fuji TV announcer Yumi Nagashima, and Hanshin Tigers player Koji Chikamoto.

They are also running an interesting SNS project using a hashtag to cheer on the graduates.
The idea is for alumni to send messages to graduates on social media with the hashtag “#関学卒業生にエールを”.
It’s a wonderful project that really fits the times.
As a Kwansei Gakuin alumnus myself, I also posted a message.
It’s a shame that the graduation ceremony was canceled, but I hope this becomes a memorable moment for the graduates, even if just a little.
