Near Shukugawa Station, under the elevated Hankyu Railway tracks, there is an izakaya called Shokuraku “Guu.”
It’s a popular spot where many people visit every day for its fresh seafood.
Due to the impact of the novel coronavirus, they have started offering takeout, so this time I’m going to enjoy some drinks with takeout dishes from “Guu.”

Shokuraku “Guu” Dishes
There are two takeout menu items, so I bought both.
They are the “Assorted Four Kinds of Sashimi” (1,000 yen) and the “Assorted Four Kinds of Vegetable Dishes” (900 yen).
They look like full-fledged restaurant dishes, not takeout at all.
The contents of the “Assorted Four Kinds of Sashimi” change depending on the day, but this time it included “tuna,” “Spanish mackerel,” “filefish,” and “flatfish.”
It comes with monkfish liver, so you can enjoy it with monkfish liver soy sauce or simply as a snack with your drink.
The “Spanish mackerel” was served tataki-style, and the “flatfish” was cured with kombu, showing the skill of a professional throughout.
Of course, all the ingredients were fresh and very delicious.
Next, the “Assorted Four Kinds of Vegetable Dishes” included…
“Simmered nanohana greens (with spicy mustard vinegar miso)”
“Potatoes and bacon”
“Bamboo shoots”
“Nanohana tempura”
That was the lineup.
These also change depending on the day.
The vegetables were just as fresh and tasty as the sashimi, and every dish was seasoned in a way that made the drinks go down easily.
