“BREAK TIME” (Break Time), which we covered a little while ago when it relocated, is a Turkish restaurant where you can enjoy authentic kebabs and more.
It works both as a restaurant and a cafe, and since opening last month, it has been bustling day after day, especially with local customers.
This time, we stopped by during lunchtime.

“BREAK TIME” (Break Time) Food
There are several dishes made with kebab, and this time we ordered the “Kebab Burger (with drink and chocolate pudding)” (900 yen).
When you hear “kebab,” many people probably picture skewered dishes like shish kebab, but it is actually a general term for dishes made by roasting meat, fish, vegetables, and the like.
The kebab at this shop had meat being grilled on a large skewer in the kitchen, so I think it would be the Turkish dish known as “doner kebab.”
Doner kebab is made by stacking sliced, seasoned meat on a special skewer, roasting it, then shaving off thin slices from the outside with a knife. Apparently, it is a popular dish in Turkey and is commonly served at food stalls and similar places.
BREAK TIME’s kebab burger is also a burger with spiced meat and lettuce tucked into homemade bread, but the spices were not overpowering. It was seasoned in a way that is easy for Japanese diners to enjoy, and it was very tasty.
This is the chocolate pudding that comes with the set.
After eating the kebab, I found myself wanting something sweet (not that it was especially spicy), so it was just the right dessert.
There were several other dishes using kebab as well, so next time I’d like to try something different.
