I Tried the Fried Chicken and Tartar Sauce Omurice at Delish Uf in the 2nd Floor Food Court of LaLaport Koshien!

There’s an omelet rice and spaghetti restaurant called “Delish-Ufu” in the food court on the 2nd floor of LaLaport Koshien.

It’s one of the restaurants operated by Giraud Restaurant System, a company that runs dining spots across Japan in a wide range of genres. However, there are only three “Delish-Ufu” locations nationwide, and in Kansai, the only one is at LaLaport Koshien.

This time, I went to try the omelet rice at “Delish-Ufu LaLaport Koshien.”

This time, I chose the “Karaage with Tartar Sauce” (880 yen) from the omelet rice menu.

Apparently, it’s one of their recommended dishes.

It’s a standard omelet rice with ketchup sauce, served with fried chicken and tartar sauce on the side.

First, the omelet rice itself is as classic as it gets: ketchup rice wrapped in egg and topped with ketchup sauce.

One notable point is that the egg layer is fairly thick.

These days, omelet rice made with soft, runny eggs is becoming more mainstream, but I really love this kind of old-school omelet rice.

The omelet rice, karaage, and tartar sauce came together in a surprisingly harmonious way, and it was unexpectedly delicious.

Each of these dishes has been around for a long time, but the combination might be something new.
