We previously wrote about Meat BAL&MONSTERFISH “M-2,” and it looks like they opened on August 11.
Since this used to be “Bifrost,” the “Meat BAL” part makes sense, but what exactly is “MONSTERFISH”?
I was curious, so I went to check it out.

Meat BAL&MONSTERFISH “M-2” Dishes
There were five lunch options: A to D lunches plus a daily lunch special. This time I chose the A Lunch, the “Sirloin Steak Bowl” (980 yen).
The rice bowl menu comes with a small side dish and soup, while the set meal menu comes with rice, salad, and soup.
This is the main dish, the “Sirloin Steak Bowl.”
I always think this, but steaks at meat specialty restaurants are cooked just perfectly.
It was cooked to about medium rare, bringing out the rich flavor and sweetness of the meat.
The sauce was slightly sweet, and the wasabi added a nice accent.
The steak went perfectly with the rice and was really delicious. I finished it in no time.

There are also many aquariums like these lined up inside the shop.
Apparently, this restaurant even sells large freshwater fish.
So that’s what “MONSTERFISH” refers to.
