In spring, when I went to Higashiyamadai to photograph the longest row of cherry trees in Nishinomiya, I spotted a lovely shop there,
and I finally got to go ヽ(^。^)ノ
A shop specializing in macarons and baked sweets “deux volontés(ドゥヴォロンテ)”
Sweets I bought at “deux volontés”

Macarons ¥180 (excluding tax)

I bought this set that comes in such a stylish gift box! They also put plenty of ice packs inside ヽ(^o^)丿
Set of 8 macarons ¥1,740 (excluding tax, box included)

Just looking at these macarons in their soft, gentle colors makes you happy (*^^)v

But eating them makes you even happier \(^o^)/
The macarons at deux volontés are the kind with lots of cream.
The photo shows a rhubarb macaron… Rhubarb, a familiar ingredient in French pastries, is actually a vegetable native to southern Siberia! The jam was refreshing and sweet-tart, and it felt like it tightened up the sweetness of the whole macaron. It was my first time trying it, and it was delicious \(^o^)/

The baked sweets look like this ヽ(^o^)丿
Fruit pound cake ¥220 (excluding tax) Madeleine ¥180 (excluding tax)
Sablé noisette ¥170 (excluding tax) Florentine ¥160 (excluding tax) Viennois tea cookie ¥170 (excluding tax)
They use cane sugar instead of regular sugarOnly the madeleines use regular sugar ^^;
So they had a soft, gentle sweetness (*^^)v
The cakes were moist, the cookies were crisp, and everything was really delicious!!!

Inside the showcase are colorful macarons, pudding, and the new “Coffee Blancmange with Praline Cream” ←This looks super delicious!! It uses a blend coffee from Higashiyama Coffee, roasted nearby \(^o^)/

The baked sweets are neatly lined up tooI want to buy every kind! And eat them all!

There was also a corner introducing shops recommended by the owner, featuring businesses active in the same area (*^^)v

Lastly
The pâtissière, Ms. Miyata, who kindly helped us,
trained in France and apparently worked for many years at Pâtissier Eiji Nitta in Nishinomiya-Kitaguchi from the time it first opened (*^^)v
Eiji Nitta is a really delicious cake shop (#^.^#)
Located on Higashiyamadai Sakura-dori, where you can enjoy cherry blossoms in spring and autumn leaves in fall, this lovely shop also seems to make birthday cakes by order ヽ(^。^)ノ
