Show Us the Shop!
Now then, let’s head inside!

This is the entrance.

The interior is simple and stylish, with white and natural wood as the base colors✨

There are two tables that seat four,
and one table that seats two.

There are seven counter seats!
The kitchen is right across the counter, so you’re close to the staff and it’s easy to chat with them✨

There are also terrace seats, and pets are allowed on the terrace✨

Owner-chef Ota
honed his skills at Chinese restaurants in luxury hotels, and he’s quite the handsome guy✨
The owner’s wife also works here as part of the staff, and she’s absolutely beautiful❗️
Show Us the Food!
Now, let’s introduce the dishes you’re probably curious about✨
O-CHAI is a Chinese restaurant centered around small-plate dishes❗️

This is by far the most popular item at O-CHAI:
Meltingly Tender Braised Pork Sweet-and-Sour Pork with Black Vinegar (850 yen)
It’s so delicious that if you come to O-CHAI, this is one dish you really have to try❤️

It’s so tender you can hardly believe it’s meat, coated in a thick, slightly sweet sweet-and-sour pork sauce. It’s seriously delicious❤️
The secret to its tenderness is that they use pork that has been aged for about five hours❗️
The vegetables, like snap peas, king oyster mushrooms, and lotus root, are crisp and tasty✨

They also have Shaoxing wine, a must-have with Chinese cuisine☺️
There are plenty of other menu items too!

These are O-CHAI’s recommended dishes✨

They also have hot pot dishes where you can choose your favorite ingredients and flavor❗️

O-CHAI is run as a Chinese restaurant, but I think one weakness of Chinese food as it’s often seen today is that it has a strong image of being something you have to eat with family, with large shared plates, making it hard to visit alone. Also, I think many people have the impression that Chinese food uses a lot of oil, and I want to change that. At our restaurant, we only use olive oil in our cooking, and I’m confident it won’t sit heavy in your stomach! If there are people who think Chinese food is hard to go out for alone or as a pair, or that it probably isn’t good for the body, I hope they’ll come to O-CHAI and try it. I think they’ll understand right away.
We’d love to welcome you!
Thank you, O-CHAI!
“小皿中華 O-CHAI オーチャイ” is a place where you can enjoy truly delicious Chinese food.
The interior is so clean and stylish that you might not expect it from a Chinese restaurant,
and it’s easy to visit even on your own. If you’re curious, be sure to check it out🎵
