We Tried the Kurume Ramen Kokuryu Tonkotsu at Tora to Ryu in Rokutanji-cho Nishinomiya! [Nishitsu Gourmet]

Introducing a restaurant visited by Nishitsu’s food writer for our Nishitsu Gourmet series.
This time, we went to

a ramen shop
“虎と龍”
about a 5-minute walk from JR Nishinomiya Station (*’ω’ﾉﾉﾞ

“虎と龍” is a new ramen shop that opened on March 29✨

We went around 11:30, and the place was packed with customers❗️

There was a counter table seating 7 and one table for 2, for a total of 10 seats.

Here’s what we had this time↓

★Kurume Ramen Black Dragon Tonkotsu（750 yen including tax）

There are two types of ramen, Kurume and Hakata, and you can choose from three kinds of soup for each.

・Regular
・“Black Dragon” with charred garlic oil
・“Red Dragon” with chili miso

This time, we chose the “Black Dragon” with charred garlic oil.

The soup is a rich tonkotsu style, but it was mellow and delicious!

The charred garlic oil makes it taste even better☺️✨

For the noodles, you can choose either thin noodles or egg noodles, and you can also choose the firmness!

This time, we went with firm thin noodles✨

The chashu had a slight sweetness and was really tasty❤️

Other toppings included wood ear mushrooms, green onions, garlic, and spices✨

★Mini Chashu Rice Bowl Set（980 yen including tax）

Honestly, I wanted to try the roast pork fried rice, but apparently it wasn’t available to order yet, so I went with the chashu rice bowl set.

They said it should be available soon, so if you like fried rice, it might be worth waiting a little while!

The chashu rice bowl had lots of chunky chashu, and the sauce had a nice spicy kick to it. It was delicious✨

In addition to the items we tried this time, they also had spicy and savory tantanmen, plus gyoza on the side menu🎵
