Found an unusual (?) town name sign in Yuba-cho.
Here it is↓↓

The letters are so faded you can’t read them.Even zooming in on the photo, it’s hard to see

It says “弓場町” (Yuba-cho).
And this town name sign isn’t just faded!

Believe it or not, there’s a mysterious “sweep” halfway through the third stroke!
Compared with another location,

the characters for “弓場町” don’t look unusual.
I tried writing it myself.

It looks more like some kind of symbol than a character. How would you read this?
- (例)弓67.5%(27票)
- 屋5%(2票)
- 局27.5%(11票)
I don’t know if it was just a mistake, or if they almost mixed it up with neighboring 屋敷町 (Yashiki-cho), but I think it’s a rare find.
Here it is on the map↓
The address is 8 Yuba-cho, Nishinomiya City, Hyogo Prefecture.
