I Tried the Light and Tender Harami Steak at シタツヅミ西宮テッパンメシ in Tsuto Otsuka-cho Nishinomiya | Nishitsu Gourmet

Introducing restaurants visited by Nishi2’s food writer in our “Nishi2 Gourmet” series.
This time, we went to

a beef tongue and tender steak restaurant
“Shitatsuzumi Nishinomiya Teppan Meshi”,
about a 5-minute walk from Hanshin-Kokudo Station (*’ω’ﾉﾉﾞ

“Shitatsuzumi Nishinomiya Teppan Meshi” opened on March 3, 2019.

The interior has a slightly retro feel and a calm atmosphere!

There are two tables for four, three tables for two,
and eight counter seats.

Now, let’s introduce the dishes we had this time✨

Teppan Meshi’s signature menu item❗️❗️

★ Light and Tender Skirt Steak Medium size (1,390 yen before tax)

• Soup
• Salad
• Seasonal grilled vegetables
• Bread or rice

This is a lunch set menu✨

Let’s take a look at each item😆

First up, the skirt steak❗️

Even without any sauce, it’s sweet and delicious just as it is❤️

It’s incredibly tender, and they cut it into bite-sized pieces, so it’s easy to eat☺️

There are four kinds of sauces, so it’s fun to enjoy different flavors😆

Japanese-style grated daikon sauce
Light and refreshing, with onion and a little garlic in it. It was really tasty❗️

Wasabi
Mii can’t eat wasabi, so we skipped this one. (lol)

Garlic
It has just a slight kick, and it pairs well with the sweetness of the skirt steak. Delicious❗️
I liked that it wasn’t overly heavy or strong.

Ponzu
It has a nice tang and tastes refreshing.

For Mii, all the sauces were just right—not too strong, not too mild—and really delicious✨

White rice really is the best match for steak❗️
They serve you a full bowl✨

The soup was corn soup, which goes perfectly with steak, and it had plenty of corn in it😊

In addition to the lunch we had this time, they also have beef tongue and hamburg steak❗️

They also have à la carte menu items…

And a great selection of alcoholic drinks✨
