We Tried the Onigiri and Kake Udon at Tamaya Shokudo in Bundocho Nishinomiya

Introducing a restaurant visited by Nishitsu’s food writer in our “Nishitsu Gourmet” series.
This time, we went to

a set-meal restaurant
“Tamaya Shokudo”
about a 13-minute walk from Hankyu Shukugawa Station (*’ω’ﾉﾉﾞ

The interior has a nostalgic feel, with the warmth of wood throughout.

Here’s what we had this time ↓

★Rice balls and kake udon（500 yen tax included）

A one-coin lunch!

The udon was warm, pleasantly chewy, and had a gentle flavor✨

The kelp gave the broth a nice depth, and it was delicious❗️

The rice balls came with takuan pickles and sour umeboshi,
and the furikake was okaka!

The saltiness was just right, and the rice was really tasty❤️

There are other one-coin menu items too✨

There’s a hot spring next door, so after eating, it might be nice to soak in the bath before heading home✨
