“洋食とワインのお店 土筆苑” is a long-established Western-style restaurant that opened in Nishinomiya, Hyogo Prefecture in 1973 as “Bistro 土筆苑.” Some of our customers have been coming here for years: they proposed successfully at our restaurant, got married, and now visit with their two children. Although our relationship is technically “restaurant and customer,” seeing those children grow gives energy to the restaurant as well.
The “Growth Hamburg Steak” project was born from that background. We measure children’s height when they visit, then measure it again on their next visit. If they have grown taller, we give them one special hamburg steak (vacuum-packed and frozen) for every 1 cm they have grown. We believe this is an initiative that only an independent restaurant can manage, since making sure staff at a major chain fully understand and follow the operation would be burdensome. We also hope it will spark children’s curiosity about their own height and give families a reason to visit again.

Period: From Tuesday, April 19
Eligibility: Children in elementary school or younger
Condition: Please present an ID showing the child’s date of birth
Details: If the child has grown taller since the previous measurement, they will receive one special hamburg steak for every 1 cm of growth
（If they have grown 5 cm since their previous visit, they will receive 5 special hamburg steaks）
How it works: We measure the child’s height at the restaurant using a tape measure or similar tool. After that,
our staff records the height on a dedicated card.
On the next visit, bring that card, and if the child has grown by at least 1 cm after being measured again,
they will receive the special hamburg steak
