The building was already there in the early 1970s. Back then, the pond in front of the building had a working fountain, and at night the fountain was lit up in red, blue, green, and other colors. I remember it being incredibly dreamlike. Come to think of it, there was also an outdoor pool.

I think you’ll understand if you go there. The whole place, including the passage through the building, has a late-Showa feel.

I feel like there are quite a few retro-modern shops when you head east from Hanshin Nishinomiya Station.
I often pass through by bicycle, and I like the streetscape along the way toward where Nishinomiya-Higashiguchi Station used to be.

I like how it feels like an upscale residential neighborhood from the early Showa era. I often pass through there when heading toward Kobe.

💎Diamond Cross💎

I rode the Hankyu train every day for work and school. When the train passed over the Diamond Cross, the sound of the wheels was different🎶 It brings back memories. The only thing I find disappointing is that it has been left quietly in a spot quite far from Nishinomiya-Kitaguchi Station🛤️ I wish the Diamond💎Cross were still inside Nishinomiya-Kitaguchi Station.

This year in Nishinomiya, Marunaka became Daiei, Mandai opened, Gyomu Super relocated, and Maruai and Ito-Yokado were renovated. There was no shortage of supermarket news. We ran a survey once in 2020, but for 2022 we’d like to ask everyone in Nishinomiya again which supermarkets they often useー♪
