We heard a new Starbucks was opening on the 1st floor of LaLaport Koshien, so we went to check it out.
It finally opens today, Thursday, September 25! From 10:00 a.m.
It’s on the Koshien Stadium side of LaLaport, near the little fountain.
The storefront is all glass, so you can see right inside. You can already spot the super stylish space in there!
This. Apparently the staff drew it themselves. Such great taste!
This is a new type of store called a “Family Friendly Store.” The concept is “fun for kids and families.” That’s why it’s spacious enough to enter comfortably with a stroller.
It’s easy for small children to sit here too. Since the place is made with kids in mind, even if someone starts crying or fussing, everyone’s in the same boat, so families can feel at ease using it.
Look at this. It has all kinds of animals drawn on it, so parents and kids might have fun chatting like, “That’s a tiger!” Apparently they’re animals found in coffee-producing countries
This is the ordering area. It has that classic Starbucks green, but somehow it also feels a little kid-friendly!
The menu is the same as a regular Starbucks. But that’s not all at this Family Friendly Store.
Starbucks actually has quite a variety of food items.
There’s a special kids-only menu! There are three kinds of Kids Frappuccino. Only children 12 and under can order them. Kind of like a kids’ meal
The clear cups are seriously cute!!
But just because it’s for kids doesn’t mean it’s tiny. It feels like just the right amount to drink. Short size. There’s no Tall or other sizes
For kids, the straws are bendy straws. The mango one was so good
*Kids Frappuccinos can only be ordered by children 12 and under, but we were given special permission to try one this time.
The kids’ trays are made from safe materials, so even if they’re accidentally dropped, you don’t have to worry. Also, that blueberry doughnut looks delicious

When you order a Kids Frappuccino, you can customize the flavor at this table. Parents and kids can try making their own original customization!
There’s caramel sauce, chocolate sauce, vanilla syrup, and caramel syrup. Some kids are definitely going to put everything in, haha
They also lend out kids’ aprons just like the ones Starbucks staff, or baristas, wear. That’s right! If your child still wants more after visiting KidZania, this is the place to stop by!
And this. You can make a one-of-a-kind tumbler.
There are three kinds of drawing sheets, and you can put one inside the tumbler.
Grandpas and grandmas would probably be thrilled to receive one as a gift.
The staff told us they hope lots of different people will use the store, not just families with children, but also elderly customers, people with physical disabilities, and anyone else too.
Since LaLaport Koshien is already so popular with families, we’ll probably see a sudden rise in kids making their Starbucks debut! It finally opens today.
