Introducing shops visited by Nishitsu’s food writer 
in our Nishitsu Gourmet series.
This time, since Uber Eats is now available in Nishinomiya, something I’d been curious about for a while, I tried it right away!
When it first launched, it wasn’t available, perhaps because there weren’t any delivery people, but now some restaurants can be used.
Since it was my first time using it, Mii @ Nishitsu would like to clearly share the experience with anyone who hasn’t tried it yet🎵

Here’s how to place an order✨
How to Order with Uber Eats
Install the App
First, install the Uber Eats app on your smartphone.
Register a Credit Card
Next, register the credit card you’ll use for payment.
At the moment, Uber Eats offers only the following payment methods:
- Credit card
- Debit card
Those are the only two options.
Enter Your Address
Register the address where you want your food delivered.
It’s really convenient because it shows restaurants, cafes, and other places around your delivery location!
Choose Your Food
After that, just choose what you want to order from the menu✨
Promotion Code and Ordering
Once you’ve chosen your food, it’s finally time to place the order!
…But before that, you can get a discount by adding a “promotion code.”
Until April 30, 2019, adding the following code will make the delivery fee free✨
Promotion code: HANSHIN10
On the order screen, tap “Add promotion code.”
Tap “Add promotion code” in the upper right of the screen and enter the code above.
Then the coupon will appear, so
with it selected, tap the × mark in the upper left of the screen to apply it❗️
The Estimated Arrival Time Appears
Right after the order is confirmed, the estimated arrival time for your food and a map appear.
Mii @ Nishitsu ordered the “Marshmallow and Chocolate Pizza” from the pizza and cafe spot “Pizzeria Arrocco,” which isn’t too far away…
It showed “Estimated arrival at 15:05,” about 20 minutes after ordering!
The Delivery Person Appears on the Map✨
After a little while, the delivery person appears on the map and starts moving.
The map updates in real time, so you can clearly see them heading toward the delivery location!
Thanks to this map, receiving your food goes very smoothly😊
In addition to the map, the delivery person’s name, profile photo, and delivery method are also shown, so even people who feel nervous because they don’t know who’s coming can feel at ease☺️✨
Receive Your Food
At last, the delivery person arrived at my home!
They had such a nice vibe, and they kindly gave permission for a photo, so I took one. (Thank you very much✨)
With Uber Eats, payment is already completed in advance by credit card, so there’s very little communication needed with the delivery partner!
（Apparently they don’t have enough delivery partners. One benefit is that you can work whenever you want.）
The delivery was completed very smoothly❗️
The food was wrapped in a pizza box and a plastic bag like the kind you get at a supermarket.
The cinnamon aroma spilling out of the bag really got my appetite going✨
The combination of marshmallow and chocolate was just as amazing as expected☺️❤️
Rate and Finish!
After the meal, rate the delivery person and the restaurant, and you’re done.
There were no problems at all, so I gave them a thumbs up✨
Uber Eats, which lets you easily enjoy meals from delicious restaurants and cafes at home, is seriously impressive!
