Many Nishinomiya residents may have spotted a “mysterious group wearing green bibs” before noon on Sunday, July 11. Actually, I,
, was leading one of those groups🏃
This article is brought to you by “Nishinomiya-Kitaguchi Dental and Oral Surgery, open year-round,” a dental clinic that supports Nishitsu.

Small groups wearing green bibs and carrying Santa Claus-like red bags appeared around Nishinomiya and Ashiya, totaling about 200 people!

Everyone worked together to pick up litter across the city!

People of all ages joined in, from adults to children♪

On top of that, they were frequently checking maps on their smartphones and having a great time!

So much trash! This group picked up an incredible 10 kg along a 2 km route!!

It turns out this group was taking part in “GPS Plogging (Litter Pickup Art Walk),” a 100th anniversary project by Coop Kobe. The event was held simultaneously at 16 Coop stores in Nishinomiya and Ashiya, where everyone helped clean up the town while creating connected art!

These days, environmental and health issues have become major social concerns.
It would be great to see more and more systems like this, where people can have fun while helping solve social issues!
