Whenever we receive tips from readers(Miyacco Detectives), the article will be updated with new information as it comes in.

What We Want Miyacco Detectives to Tell Us
This request comes from reader sho.
Key Point of the Request
Please tell us the name of the old-fashioned plastic model shop that used to be in Oyacho
Location: 20-10 Oyacho
Period: Around 1996 (about 25 years ago)
Exterior: A sign with the Tamiya star logo
Shop name: I feel like the shop name was someone’s surname

20-10 Oyacho is here on the map
Here’s what the area around 20-10 Oyacho looks like

Near Oyacho 20, there is currently “Kashi Kobo Davinci.” If you continue straight along this road, you’ll find Kawarabayashi Post Office and a Seven-Eleven.

This is the Kawarabayashi Kita intersection.

If you go this way, there’s a FamilyMart, and it leads to the Nakatsuhama Line.

This is Kawaragi Naka no Michi. Turn left at the first traffic light and you’ll be near 20-10 Oyacho.
The Tamiya logo apparently looks like this↓↓
Today, June 5, is apparently #LogoDay. So we’d like to once again introduce the Tamiya logo, “famous for its star mark.” Please also take a look at how it changed before reaching its current design in 1966. #Tamiya #TAMIYA pic.twitter.com/jzo1JZIOod

Information and Investigation Results from Miyacco Detectives
About the model shop that used to be in Oyacho, could it have been Futaba Model? I can’t remember whether it was written in kanji or kana. It had an entrance along the Nishinomiya-Toyonaka Line, and the building was in the middle of fields. The building was still there until fairly recently.
The model shop in Oyacho was probably Futaba Model.
When I was in elementary school, I often bought and built Japanese warships from Tamiya’s Waterline Series and 1/35 German vehicles there.
I used to go there to buy plastic sheets when I was in elementary school.
It was run by an older guy who wouldn’t let you buy whatever you wanted.
Futaba Model! It opened around noon and closed in the evening.
I remember buying a Grasshopper RC car there when I was in junior high school.
There was a radio-controlled helicopter displayed inside the shop.
The house next door belonged to my classmates, who were twins.
The plastic model shop that used to be in Oyacho, could it have been “Futaba Model”? It’s listed in the southwest area of https://nishikita.ofg.jp/. Thirty years ago I was in Hiroshima, but I was obsessed with Tamiya plastic models like Mini 4WD (Dash! Yonkuro) and RC cars. You don’t see plastic model shops much anymore.

If my memory is correct, it should have been here.
I only went there once, but I don’t remember the name pic.twitter.com/RmhfTVZpXk
