The other day, I had a meeting with Shimizu-san, the GPS runner, and we ended up saying,
“Let’s do something fun!”
As we talked about what we could do, the idea came up:
“Wouldn’t it be better if we had some original apparel?”
So, since there’s no time like the present, we decided to go ahead and make some.
We heard that a company called “Plus One,” which makes original goods, has a shop in Nishinomiya-Kitaguchi, so I went to visit the store together with our shacho.

We went up the stairs to the second floor.
This is the entrance to the shop.
Let’s head inside right away. Though shacho is already in there…
Inside “Plus One Nishinomiya”
When you enter the shop, there’s a counter like this.
If no staff member is there, ring the bell.
In the room next to this counter, there’s an exhibition space with products and samples.
We wanted to take a look at various items, so a staff member guided us into the display area…
As expected, apparel seems to be their main product, with lots of samples on display, including T-shirts, polo shirts, hoodies, and blousons.
They also have bags and things like that.
They have hats, too.
There are also plenty of smaller items, such as towels, fans, stickers, and mugs.
It’s fun just looking around.
Since our goal this time was to make original apparel, we looked at lots of blousons, hoodies, and other items while deciding what to make.
Even for the same type of clothing, there are so many differences in size, texture, and other details.
The items on display are only some of the samples, so in reality there are many more colors and sizes available.
The shop staff were very kind and helpful as we discussed everything.
Once the general idea was decided, we talked through the finer design details and delivery schedule, then had them prepare an estimate.

We showed up at the shop out of the blue without contacting them in advance, but everything came together in about an hour.
Online shopping is convenient, of course, but visiting a physical shop really has its advantages: you can actually pick up and check the products, consult with the staff, and more.
After that, we exchanged emails and were able to place the order without any trouble.
