We Tried the Taiwanese Castella at カバのおしり Which Just Opened on October 4

This is a food report on the “Taiwan Castella” from “カバのおしり,” which just opened on October 4!

The Day After “カバのおしり” Opened

They went to buy “Taiwan Castella” and “Taiwanese fried chicken” from the newly opened “カバのおしり” in Kamikoshiencho along National Route 2.

The address is 1-4-1 Kamikoshien, Nishinomiya City, Hyogo Prefecture.

I made a reservation the day before and went to pick it up today. As you can see in the photo, there was a line!

They even have chairs where you can eat outside!

So many flowers! This shop is getting a lot of support.

On opening day, reservations were available, but when I went today, the reservation slots were already gone and they had stopped taking orders!So popular〜!!

Taiwan Castella Half & Half 1,280 yen（Left: black tea / Right: plain）
The 1/8 size seems to be about 10 x 10 x 6 cm♪

They included condensed milk for the black tea castella, as well as a fork and knife.

It was my first time trying plain Taiwan castella, and just as I’d heard, it was incredibly fluffy and light✨ It melted in my mouth and had such a happy texture♪

So light and airy♪

The black tea one combines Earl Grey castella with condensed milk, giving it a nicely sweet milk tea flavor♪ It was also delicious eaten as-is without the condensed milk.

This time, they ordered the Half & Half♪

Besides castella, it looks like they also have drinks such as juice and beer.

They said the castella has been much more popular than expected, so they haven’t been able to get started on the Taiwanese fried chicken yet…!! Amazing, right? I’m looking forward to the Taiwanese fried chicken too〜!
