It looks like the one monkey spotted yesterday, 11/18, in Nishinomiya City has settled in around Nishinomiyahama.
(This information was provided by Ken-chan. Thank you!)
First, the most important part. From Nishinomiya City Hall.
Residents in the area should take the following precautions.
1. Do not feed monkeys or show them food
Try not to leave garbage or anything that could become food outside.
2. Do not approach monkeys
If you reach out your hand, you may be bitten or scratched. If you encounter a monkey, leave the area without provoking it.
3. Make sure your doors and windows are locked
Monkeys can enter homes even through second-floor windows, so please be very careful.
Future Response
After receiving guidance from experts, the city was advised that rather than trying to capture the monkey by force and cornering it, it would be better to continue monitoring it, even if it takes some time, so that it can return to the mountains on its own. The city is proceeding with that approach.
Recent Nishinomiyahama Sighting Summary
The monkey was spotted on the 18th in Kamizonocho, roughly between Koyoen and Kurakuen-guchi, and made it to Nishinomiyahama later that same day.
When it was found in Kamizonocho, Nishi2 reader “Ken-chan” took a photo of it.

It’s like a spot-the-difference puzzle. Can you find it? It’s sitting on the wall, right? It’s blending in with the tree.
Zoomed in↓

It looks like it’s sitting while facing to the right.
Zooming in even more↓

According to Ken-chan, it didn’t seem to be doing anything mischievous, and it looked scared, which made it seem rather pitiful. Maybe it got separated from its troop and lost. Apparently, it crossed right in front of them shortly after they spotted it.
There was also a post with a photo of the monkey on Nishi2’s Facebook. It’s very much from the front.
Here are the sightings Nishinomiya City has confirmed↓

(Update 21:09) November 23 (Wed), around 9:00 a.m.
It was reportedly spotted on a road near Furuno Electric in Nishinomiyahama 2-chome.This information was provided by Kyana-san! The witness was Kyana-san’s mother.

She apparently saw the monkey from inside a bus, around just before Furuno Electric.
Here it is on the map↓
At 8 a.m., it was north of the Bayshore Route, and by 9 a.m. it had moved to the south side of the Bayshore Route. There isn’t much traffic here, so it seems like it would be relatively easy for it to move around.
Finally
It probably wants to return to the mountains, but Nishinomiyahama may be something of a maze. To escape, it needs to head north via places like the Omaehama drawbridge or Nishinomiya Ohashi Bridge. Hang in there, monkey! Somehow make it toward Mt. Kabuto! Everyone, please be careful and don’t approach it even if you spot it!
※Ken-chan, thank you for the information!!
