One of the Largest Surveys Ever, and the First Full-Scale Survey of Resident Satisfaction
The E-heya Net 2019 Livability Ranking <Kansai Edition> is
an unprecedented large-scale survey conducted by Daito Trust Construction, covering 38,670 people living in the Kansai area and an incredible 1,450 stations.
It is a new kind of survey based on evaluations from people who actually live there.
Ranking of the Top 20
“Nishinomiya-Kitaguchi” ranked 3rd. “Mondo-Yakujin” ranked 11th. “Koshienguchi” ranked 13th! Nishinomiya alone has four stations in the top 20.

For Osaka Metro, the Tanimachi Line stands out.
Neighboring Cities Are Also Doing Well
The two cities adjacent to Nishinomiya City are Ashiya City and Itami City.
JR Itami Station ranked 14th, and Hanshin Ashiya Station ranked 20th.
The Evaluation Is Based on 56 Questions
Apparently, the survey used to create these rankings consists of 56 question items.
Some examples include:
- Overall evaluation of the current area
- Unpretentious friendliness
- Good access to the city center
- Availability of supermarkets, mass retailers, etc.
- Liveliness
- Beauty of the streetscape
- Lack of noise and commotion
- Lack of concern about tsunamis
- Availability of nature such as the sea, rivers, and mountains
- Level of crowding on trains and buses
And many more. There are all kinds of items.

◆Public transportation is very convenient. There is a large commercial facility within walking distance, and the supermarket I use regularly is also very close. Since the Nishinomiya Tsushin editorial office is also located in Shukugawa, this ranking announcement made us genuinely happy! It is amazing that out of 1,450 stations, four stations from Nishinomiya City made it into the top 20.
