We went to 喫茶ベルク in Yamaguchi-cho Funasaka for a cake set.
The cafe was originally located in Koshienguchi.
We headed to 喫茶ベルク without realizing we’d be able to eat Tsumagari cake there.

Ordering the Cake Set at 喫茶ベルク
The cakes included in a cake set often aren’t listed on the menu, right?
When you order the cake set, they bring over a tray loaded with several kinds of cakes.
Then comes that blissful moment of choosing one from the selection. ☆☆
They all looked so good, it was hard to decide…
And that, too, was part of the bliss.
These are the two cakes we chose this time.
Just looking at the photo makes me want to eat them again right away.
I had no idea, but the cakes at ベルク are actually cakes from ツマガリ!
I never expected to be able to eat Tsumagari cake here!!

The Two Cakes We Had at 喫茶ベルク
This is the ルシカミモレット.
The surface is covered in fluffy sponge cake, giving it such a warm, comforting look.
It turns out to be a cheesecake made with baked cheese and mascarpone.
This is the ナポレオン.
It has four layers: pie crust, custard cream, whipped cream, and sponge cake!
On top, a strawberry is placed elegantly.
Because of the crisp pastry, your fork won’t slide in easily, so give up on eating it neatly.
Tip the cake over and dig in boldly.
Both were just as delicious as you’d imagine.
They were so good I wondered if there was even a moment when I put my fork down.
Inside 喫茶ベルク
A large window in front of the counter.
When cosmos flowers are in season, I can just imagine the whole view from that window filled with cosmos.
This is a spot where lots of cosmos flowers bloom.
There’s a beautiful grand piano, and it seems concerts are held here regularly. ♪
The cafe has an atrium-style interior with a very high ceiling, making it feel open and airy. You can also feel the warmth of the wood, which makes it a very relaxing space.
