This May, a new place for postpartum moms opened at the former site of Takahashi Obstetrics and Gynecology, so we went to check it out〜

It’s located along Route 2, with Nishinomiya Post Office just to the east.
If you live in Nishinomiya, many of you may have given birth at Takahashi Obstetrics and Gynecology, or may be planning to give birth there.
By the way, the obstetrics and gynecology clinic has moved to this location, just a short walk from the station〜
Take the elevator up to the 2nd floor, and park your stroller at the entrance.
Once you go through the automatic doors, you’ll find “Family Forest,” a facility that combines postpartum care, a children’s play area, and a pediatric clinic. I used to come here for appointments at the obstetrics and gynecology clinic with my older two children, so I was surprised by how completely the interior had changed!😳
What is postpartum care?
It’s a service that provides physical and mental care for mothers after childbirth, as well as support with childcare. In Nishinomiya City, the service is mainly available to babies under 1 year old (up to the day before the child’s first birthday) and their caregivers.

This postpartum care facility has four private rooms, and they were all occupied when we visited.
Childcare workers look after the children for moms who are tired from daily childcare or need some time to refresh.
They also help with things like bathing babies and breastfeeding consultations〜
Lunch (a boxed meal) is also provided, and it looks like users can enjoy eating here while chatting with one another🍚
It’s also fine to come not only with your baby, but with older siblings too👌That’s because there’s also a children’s play area here.
When we visited, they were just holding a yoga trial session〜🧘
