The sign at 芦之湯 has been updated.
This is the new sign. Can you tell what changed?
This is what it looked like before. The colors and lettering have changed quite a bit.Especially the character “芦”
The sign at the entrance looks like this too.
This one has changed as well.
芦之湯 is currently undergoing exterior wall renovation work, so the change may be related to that.
Finally
芦之湯 is a public bathhouse that opened after the earthquake, so it doesn’t have the feel of an old Showa-era sento; it has more of a modern Heisei-era style. I find it really useful when I’m completely worn out from work, so I hope it stays around.
