Today, Saturday, June 6, fireworks may be visible from two locations
The one that seems most likely to be clearly visible from Nishinomiya is “OSAKA BAY SKYLUMINA”, being held today, Saturday, June 6, at Maishima, Osaka.

It’s an event carrying on the Expo legacy, and apparently there will be an incredible 10,000 fireworks plus 2,000 drones in the sky.

Maishima is slightly closer than the Expo site. From along the waterfront, both the fireworks and drones should be pretty easy to see.

This is how they looked from Nishinomiya Ohashi Bridge, but Maishima is a little farther to the left, so I wonder how they’ll appear.
It’s amazing that fireworks from a VIP ticket event costing just under 60,000 yen per ticket can be seen from Nishinomiya!
Also on the same day:
Rinku Fireworks 2026 at Rinku Marble Beach in Izumisano City will also be held (official site). However, it’s about 30 km from Nishinomiya, which is more than five times farther than Maishima (about 6 km, using the Expo site as a reference).
The Maishima fireworks are from 19:00 to 20:20, and the Rinku fireworks are from 19:30 to 20:10.
Rinku is pretty far away, but since you may be able to see fireworks from two places almost at the same time, this could be a rare opportunity.
Fireworks will be launched tomorrow too
Tomorrow, Sunday, June 7, there will also be the Nishiki-no-Hama Fireworks in Kaizuka City, which is quite far away (official site).

Apparently, they’re holding a fireworks event where the fireworks launched at the Expo will return in an even more scaled-up version.

But this place is also about 30 km from Nishinomiya! From Nishinomiya-hama, it would look about one-fifth this size. Still, the scale is said to be even bigger than the Expo. It might be a good idea to watch the Rinku fireworks the day before, then decide whether to go see these.

Finally
It’s not often you get the chance to see fireworks from Nishinomiya two days in a row. Tomorrow’s OSAKA BAY SKYLUMINA in particular is packed with fireworks, drones, and Myaku-Myaku, so the waterfront areas around the edge of the Mukogawa River, Nishinomiya-hama, and Naruo-hama seem like good viewing spots.
