We visited Hakusai Kitchen “Colchina”, located along Fudaba-suji next to Traffic Park!
A huge pile of fresh Chinese cabbage goes boom!
An impressive hot pot scene so steamy from the cabbage moisture that even the camera fogs up! Plus, plenty of fantastic snacks that go perfectly with drinks.
Let us take you into the world of Colchina!

Hakusai Kitchen “Colchina” Food

We started today with a SAPPORO draft beer! (790 yen + tax)
Since we were having “hot pot” this time, I visited with a running buddy!
We ordered their signature hot pot and waited for it to arrive♪

Chinese cabbage, boom!!!!
This is for two people!? A massive body blow of excitement right from the start!!
We ordered “Young Chicken and Chinese Cabbage” (690 yen + tax), “Pork and Chinese Cabbage” (690 yen + tax), and added “Chicken Offal” (350 + tax) as a topping. This shocking volume for just a little over 2,000 yen!!

Amazingly, there is “no added water” at all! It is “cooked” using only the moisture from the Chinese cabbage!

But in no time, the situation completely changes!
Just look at all that flavor-packed moisture pouring out of the cabbage!!
So much comes out of the cabbage that even the camera fogs up✨

We dip it in the manager’s carefully selected “special sauce”!
The two of us kept blurting out, “So good!” at how delicious the special sauce was!←It was so tasty that we kept talking about the sauce for a while even after leaving the restaurant.

And then! Break the egg and add a mellow richness!!

For a side dish, we ordered “Ao-chan’s Kimchi” (390 yen + tax).
It is authentic Korean kimchi from Kimchi Kobo “Ao-chan”, a beloved local shop in Nishida-cho!
Authentic kimchi with a perfect balance of spice and tanginess. It goes incredibly well with the hot pot!!

“Teppan-Grilled Gizzard” (550 yen + tax)
The moment I saw this, of course I ordered another large beer.
Piping hot, crunchy, and bursting with juicy meatiness!!

Gifu specialty “Pickle Steak” (480 yen + tax)
And then we realized something important.
Chinese cabbage hot pot, kimchi, teppan-grilled chicken, pickles + fluffy egg + bonito flakes…
We’re eating a ton, but it’s super healthy!!! (Low calorie, high protein)✨

As a low-calorie reward (?), we ordered two servings of “Chinese noodles” (290 yen + tax per serving) to finish.
The noodles go into the flavor-packed broth that has seeped out from the Chinese cabbage and meats!
On top is the manager’s special “Nishinomiya Ebisu Oil.”

This is it↑
An original, incredibly delicious seasoning that adds fragrance and richness!

We enjoy it coated in the special sauce blended with egg.
Ahh, what a blissful moment!
The “Chicken and Chinese Cabbage Hot Pot” keeps delivering flavor right to the very end!! Amazing… Colchina.
Hakusai Kitchen “Colchina” Menu

Here is the main menu↑
The Chinese cabbage hot pot is available from one serving. For two or more servings, you can also “mix” items like we did this time.
You can enjoy a variety of flavors♪

Additional toppings are reasonably priced too!
This time, we added “chicken offal meat” as an extra topping^^

Every dish is delicious! And the prices are a nice surprise!!

They also seem to have courses with all-you-can-drink included.
If you are looking for a wallet-friendly place where you can enjoy plenty of drinks with healthy dishes, this may be just right for you.
