Spotted during mountain-climbing training.
There were tons of mysterious white sticks stuck into the mountain!

While hiking, mysterious white sticks suddenly appeared all across an open area!
They looked just like grave markers!! Memorial graves?

The location is around here ↑

When I got closer, they turned out to be tube-shaped.
What on earth is this?

This is what it looks like peeking in from above.
Something is sprouting just a little inside.
[Detailed Video] Lots of something sticking out between Gabeno Castle and Mt. Kannon
Finally
After looking it up once I got home, I found out that the white sticks are “vegetation protection tubes” called “Hexacubes”.
Apparently, something similar in Kyoto was even featured on Nanikore Chin Hyakkei in 2019.
They’re said to help protect saplings mainly in the mountain forests of Kyoto, Osaka, and Hyogo, with effects such as keeping animals away, preventing drying, protecting against wind damage, and promoting growth.
If you came here at night, there’s no way it wouldn’t look like… a cemetery.
