This time, Shacho @ Nishitsu is sharing a very personal TOP list of things I’m glad I bought on the 2nd floor of Life Shukugawa.

The 2nd floor of Life Shukugawa is mainly the section that sells daily household goods.

I’m not great with gourmet food, so I made a TOP 3 list in the lifestyle goods category, which I love. I hope it’s helpful.

3rd Place: “Nanjamonja”

3rd place goes to “Nanjamonja.” The price is 1,300 yen before tax.

Nanjamonja is a card game with simple rules that can be enjoyed by everyone from age 4 to adults.

So what kind of rules does it have? That’s what you’re wondering, right?

The rule is simple: “Give it a name and call it out fast.” That’s it.

So unlike playing cards or UNO, one of its biggest features is that you don’t have to memorize all the different kinds of cards to play.

How I first found out about Nanjamonja was this:

I was wondering what to get my child, who was a 5th-grade girl at the time, for her birthday, and it was already right before the big day.

I was thinking, “Oh no! Is there anything good on Amazon that’ll arrive quickly?”

At that time, I had become friends through Nishitsu work with someone who is an extremely, extremely, extremely serious board game enthusiast, so I asked them in a chat.

“5th grade, girl, what board game do you recommend?”

And the answer I got was “This one is good,” and they told me about Nanjamonja.

With card games and board games, it can be hard to learn the rules and all the different types of cards.

A lot of people give up before they even get to the point where they remember everything.

But according to this super, super, super board game enthusiast, Nanjamonja “has the lowest difficulty level”. In other words, it’s easy.

And it’s really fun. They said it gets everyone excited.

Before I even replied to the chat, I had already clicked buy on Amazon.

Also, with Nanjamonja, I feel like coming up with names helps train imagination, and it seems to help build concentration too. It actually says something like that here ↓

If you have small children or elementary school kids at home, it’s probably worth having one.

I don’t think it’s sold much at other supermarkets. (Sorry if it is.)

2nd Place: “Pipethrough F”

2nd place is “Pipethrough F.” The price is 1,880 yen before tax.

Pipethrough F is a pipe cleaner.

It’s especially expected to work powerfully on kitchen clogs caused by grease, and it’s one of the strongest household pipe cleaners out there.

Usually, clogs can be cleared with something like Pipe Unish, but for really stubborn ones, I recommend this.

By the way, I saw a test video showing that Pipe Unish dissolves hair better. Nishitsu also tested hair with Pipethrough F, and sure enough, the hair didn’t dissolve within 10 minutes.

Actually, I first learned the name Pipethrough from a plumber who came when my toilet got clogged before.

That’s right. A clog professional. A pro.

What that pro used was something called “Pipethrough K.”

The one I’m introducing here is “Pipethrough F,” and “K” is an even, even stronger version. One sales site said it’s 5 times stronger than F. It also said it’s 20 times stronger than regular commercial products, so does that mean F is 4 times stronger than regular products?

The “Pipethrough K” used by professionals is actually classified as a deleterious substance, so ordinary people can’t just casually click and buy it. (You can buy it with your name, address, and seal, though. It’s a hassle. Search online and you’ll find it.)

“Pipethrough F” is milder than “K,” but even so, it works more than well enough for home use.

Once something gets clogged, it’s too late, so it’s probably worth keeping one bottle at home as insurance.

1st Place: “John’s Blend Fragrance Room Mist White Musk, Also Deodorizes”

1st place is “John’s Blend Fragrance Room Mist White Musk, Also Deodorizes.” The price is 980 yen before tax.

In other words, it’s an air freshener. The kind that smells good.

And on top of that, it deodorizes too.

Above all, this “White Musk” smells amazing.

How should I put it? It has a fruity, natural feel, and personally, when I smell it, I go, “Ahhh, this is so good, it smells so nice.”

If you’ve heard of John’s Blend White Musk, this might not need saying, but when it comes to White Musk, it’s John’s Blend.

Amazon comes up first, and the John’s Blend official website is second.

Rakuten is third and fourth, and Yahoo! Shopping is fifth.

Take a look at each shopping site.

To give you the answer, my impression is that about 80% of the White Musk product listings on each shopping site are John’s Blend-related White Musk products.

That’s right: White Musk = John’s Blend.

This is the global standard of the world.

However, I honestly don’t recommend it to people who “don’t like White Musk” or who feel “air fresheners and deodorizers aren’t really my thing…”.

But for anyone who’s struggling to find a go-to air freshener, I absolutely recommend it.

There’s one John’s Blend White Musk product that I really have to introduce.

John’s Blend Reed Diffuser White Musk

A reed diffuser. The price is 2,800 yen before tax.

This is the type you just place in a room and let it spread its scent.

It’s good for an entranceway, and if you want a stronger scent, I also recommend putting it in a small space like the toilet. At Nishitsu, we keep it in the toilet.

Actually, when I went to Life, they didn’t have this product. But they did have ones with different scents.

There were four types: Apple Bear, Red Wine, Musk Jasmine, and Magnolia.

They all smelled nice, but personally, the White Musk scent is still my favorite from John’s Blend.

I’m not sure whether Life doesn’t carry it or whether it was just sold out…

But you can buy it on Amazon, so if you go to Life and they don’t have it, go ahead and click buy.
