An underpass has been built beneath the Hanshin elevated tracks near Ikebiraki Park.

The address on the north side is around 2-6 Komatsu Nishimachi, Nishinomiya, Hyogo.
On the south side, it is around 3 Ikebiraki-cho, Nishinomiya, Hyogo.

A walkway for pedestrians. The gaps between the posts where pedestrians pass through are narrow, probably to keep bicycles from entering. The section on the far left seems to be for wheelchairs.
The area on the right side of the photo is where people get off their bicycles and pass through. It’s laid out a bit like a maze, so it looked like it might take some skill to get through. Still, I think this is probably a last-resort safety measure to prevent children from cutting straight through on bicycles and getting hit by cars.

When I asked someone who was conducting a traffic volume survey, they said that it probably became passable from today.
Ikebiraki Park is on the south side of the Hanshin elevated underpass.

With this new underpass completed, it must have become much more convenient for residents around Komatsu Nishimachi and the surrounding area.
